Santa make a special stopover at The Royal last week, bringing extra joy to lots of new babies and their parents. Particularly poignant was Santa's visit to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). More than 34 premature babies were  in the NICU in December, cared for by more than 20 doctors and 100 nurses. Trish O'Brien, CEO of The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation who organised the visit, said: "It's always wonderful to see babies go home, especially at Christmas. But for those who aren't well enough, we love bringing Santa to them."
