  • On site BreastScreen NSW clinic where all women over the age of 40 can attend for a free screening mammogram
  • Breast clinic where GP's can refer symptomatic women with breast concerns. We provide onsite breast imaging, diagnostic services including biopsy, and management of a wide variety of breast diseases. This includes breast cancer, benign breast disease, mastitis, and care for women at high risk of breast cancer
  • State of the art operating theatres staffed by Breast and Plastic Surgeons trained in oncoplastic breast surgery techniques and advanced reconstructive techniques
  • Holistic support services for women undergoing breast cancer treatment including fertility services, physiotherapy, menopause clinic, and psychological support.

OUR MISSION

The Royal Breast Foundation is proudly raising awareness and funds for specialised breast surgical equipment.

A new radiography system will help surgeons ensure small cancers have been removed completely whilst in the operating theatre. This technology allows surgeons to assess tumour margins, reducing the chance of a patient returning to the operating theatre for a second operation.

The Royal Hospital for Women was the first metropolitan hospital in Sydney to trial Magseed technology. A magnetic seed is used to localise small tumours before surgery. This has replaced the invasive hookwire procedure which can be distressing and painful for women undergoing breast surgery.
