Running for Premature Babies Raises over $300,000

Running for Premature Babies is a special running group set up in 2007 by Sophie Smith, after she and husband Ash lost their first-born triplet sons, Henry, Jasper and Evan, following an extremely premature birth at 24 weeks.

The Henry, Jasper and Evan Smith Trust Fund was created by the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation to support the equipment and research needs of the Royal’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Since 2007, more than $1.5 million has been raised.

Each year we organise a team to run in the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon to raise funds for the Henry Jasper and Evan Smith Trust Fund.

In 2016, Running for Premature Babies raised more than $355,000 to fund research and equipment at the Royal's NICU.
