OUR MISSION IS TO KEEP FAMILIES CONNECTED

‘No one can replace the support your family and friends give you especially on treatment days’

The Royal Hospital for Women is a national leader in the treatment of gynaecological cancer. Every year, the department treats 350 new invasive cancers; performs 330 major operations and undertakes more than 1000 cycles of chemotherapy.

The Royal is heavily involved in research, clinical trials of gene or targeted therapies and works closely with research scientists at UNSW, the Lowy Institute and the Garvan Institute. These collaborative partnerships will help patients who carry the hereditary genes for breast and ovarian cancer, BRCA1 and BRCA2 and in the advances we make together in the search for a cure.
