Some babies born as early as 24 weeks will be in the NICU for up to four months. In this time mothers will express breastmilk for their premature or unwell baby. Milk is securely stored in special refrigeration units and before it is given to a baby (either tube or bottle fed) the milk needs to be warmed to body temperature. The Medela milk warmers are effective pieces of equipment that are easy to use by both nursing staff and parents.
