As some of you are aware I am embarking on another trek of a lifetime to Everest Base Camp this coming October with a team of other adventures.
I am again fundraising for the Madison Capaldi Research Fund to continue support of research in the Neonatal ICU at The Royal Hospital for Women.
This is in memory of Madison, the beautiful daughter of my cousin Danielle and her husband Joe, twin sister of Charlotte, and big sister of Noah.
The Trek is 137km round trip, and 5,364 meters above sea level. A much cooler climate this time, not the humidity some of us experienced when trekking Kokoda in 2018.
My goal is to raise $7000 to further support the WHEAT Trial. This is critical research currently underway in the NICU at The RHW that focuses on learning how to prevent necrotising enterocolitis (NEC) in preterm newborns, the very disease which took Madison.
Every donation, no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated.
