Dr Willem Gheysen is a familiar face in The Royal's Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit. The MFM provides a complete multidisciplinary service to women with complex pregnancies, providing continuity of care from diagnosis, through pregnancy, birth and the early newborn time.
In his spare time, Willem is a keen photographer capturing all that is wonderful about Sydney and in particular the beaches of the Eastern Suburbs. Think Bondi, Bronte through to Maroubra with the occasional image of the night sky or the blue mountains. Willem's photographs have been popular in previous on site exhibitions with staff and patients as they capture the places we all know and love so much!
All funds raised through sales of the prints will contribute to the fundraising The Royal Runners. A team of Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists who are currently training for a virtual marathon and fundraising enough to purchase a Fetal Ultrasound Machine for the unit.
