This new equipment for the Gynaecology Department will reduce the time required to monitor a woman with HPV (the virus that is linked to the development of cervical cancer).
The improved assessment and treatment of a woman with HPV will reduce the risk of potential cervical cancer. The colposcopy clinic is one of the busiest clinical outpatient services for women of all ages at The Royal.
