You're making a real difference

In 2019, The 24 Hour Spinathon raised over $180,000 for The Royal Hospital for Women's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Each year the NICU cares for over 1,000 premature and critically-ill babies. Joe Blackwell was one of them.

In April 2019, Joe was born nine weeks early. He required around the clock care from the team of dedicated specialists in the NICU as well as monitoring on the state-of-the-art ventilators and humidicribs. Sadly, Joe lost his fight with life after 5 weeks and 1 day. Joe's legacy will always live on as the 24 Hour Spinathon each year will help fund more equipment to help babies just like a Joe have a better chance at life.

This year taking the 24 Hour Spinathon virtual to adhere to social distancing and COVID-19 regulations means that more people can take part from wherever they are and help make a real difference.

Every dollar raised will directly impact the most vulnerable babies and their families who require care in the NICU.
