Mount Everest Base Camp Trek

Hi, 
My name is Sonya and I am taking part in a trek to Base Camp Everest with MCRF & The Royal Hospital for Women. 
I have started to raise funds for The Royal Hospital for Women Foundation. You can join me and be part of this amazing journey. Every day at The Royal, a baby's life begins, a baby's life is saved, a woman's life is saved and new research creates miracles.

What your donation does

Friday 28th Apr
All funds raised from the 2023 Everest Base Camp Trek will go towards funding the WHEAT Trial currently being undertaken in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at The Royal. 

WHEAT stands for WithHolding or continuing Enteral feeds Around blood Transfusion and aims to prevent necrotising enterocolitis (NEC) in preterm infants born before 30 weeks. Necrotising Enterocolitis (NEC) is a neonatal disease associated with high risks of death and disability.

Every donation, no matter how big or small will get us one step closer to preventing this devastating disease in premature babies at The Royal and beyond.

On Sunday the 23rd of April I met the team for a 24km trek along Kiama coast. Although the weather took a turn, we had a day filled with laughter, kindness and amazing conversations

Bunnings BBQ Narrabeen

Thursday 15th Jun
Saturday 10th of June I held a Bunnings BBQ in Narrabeen Bunnings. The day was filled with fun, laughter and an unbelievable amount of support from locals. We held a raffle along with our BBQ for Manly sea eagle tickets x4 which was drew at the end of the day. We raised $416 from our raffle and $993 from our BBQ, equaling to $1409. The help and support from Anya, Aoife, Alannah, Alice, Sinead, Mary and Beth made the day the success it was. Thank you for everyone’s support and donations, Sonya X

Quiz night 21st July coogee legion club 7pm

Friday 7th Jul
Hi everyone, I am holding a quiz night on Friday the 21st of July in Coogee Legion club at 7pm. The night will be full of fun, laugh and of course prizes. The venue will be open from 7-23:30 so there will be time for some drinks and music after the quiz. Everyone welcome and teams can be 1-6 people. Come and support a great cause.
