"This is our way of saying thank you. We will continue to raise money in Joe's legacy forever to say thank you for the love and care that we received"
The $180,000 raised through last year's 24 Hour Spinathon has made a huge difference, purchasing a life-saving humidicrib and equipment package for The Royal's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and funding a refurbishment in level 2 of the unit that will improve capacity and care for premature babies.
This year, in celebration of World Prematurity Day and to continue Joe's legacy in creating a lasting impact in the NICU we are asking you to make a tax-deductible donation towards an ECG monitor for the unit that will help babies born with heart anomalies.
The ECG Machine is a vital piece of equipment for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It not only measures the heartbeat rate, but also the heart rhythm. The equipment used for the diagnosis of heartbeat irregularities, resulting in a management plan and treatment and is incredibly important for babies with a suspected congenital heart defect.
Your donation in honour of Joe Blackwell will help so many babies in the NICU.
