Training walks

Sunday 24th Sep
Our first training walk started at day break in Brooklyn and took 6 and half hours. Was a tough walk, quite hilly in parts. A Reschs at the Brooklyn Hotel never tasted better !

Up at 1am, just a few hours before I normally get up…, to get in bus 4 hour ride to Ramechhap Airport. Waiting now for flight to Lukla, reportedly the most dangerous airport in the world… Then we start trekking

Day 2 a big day of hiking

A full day of hiking up slippery paths. About 8 hours in total and the elevation started to tell on breathing. Got to Namsche Bazar at 3440 metres by 430

We made EBC

Sunday 15th Oct
Day 8, we finally made EBC. What a relief. Altitude sickness is tough, not a lot of fun. But was great to get there, an epic achievement
