Delivering Hope

To every woman, newborn and family

The Royal Giving Day first took place in 2021 in response to the growing demand for services, to fund new equipment, and invest in lifesaving research for women and newborns.

What has since become a fixture in The Royal fundraising calendar - this 12-hour telethon-style fundraiser brings together media, ambassadors, community, corporates, Royal clinicians, and patient families to raise important funds for the state's only dedicated women's hospital.

Throughout the telethon donations made by  individuals and the community are matched by our generous corporate and major donors - delivering double the hope to women, newborns and their families.

State-of-the-art equipment

Donations have enabled the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment across the hospital, including lifesaving humdicribs in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit.

Lifesaving research

The Royal remains a pioneer in womens and newborn health research - including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Newborn Intensive Care, Oncology and Genetics & Fertility.

Transformational programs

Donations enable specialised programs throughout the hospital including human milk nutrition for babies in the NICU – making The Royal the first hospital in Australia to provide this offering.
